# Guest portal

> Share stay information, house manuals, upsell links, and guest portal status from Trellis

## What this helps you do

Guest portal tools help your team share stay details and track guest readiness. Use them for house manuals, imported guest portal links, access notes, and upsell checkout links.

  Trellis does not currently include a built-in builder for ID upload, agreement signing, custom guest registration steps, or approval review. If you use another guest portal, Trellis can show the portal link and access status when your connected systems provide it.

## What Trellis supports today

## Update a house manual

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the property">
    Go to **Properties** and choose the property you want to update.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add stay details">
    Add the instructions guests need, such as Wi-Fi, parking, check-in, checkout, trash, amenities, and house rules.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review before sharing">
    Confirm the manual uses guest-safe language and does not include private team notes.
  </Step>

## Create an upsell link

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open upsells">
    Go to **Workflows > Upsells**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the offer">
    Add the name, price, description, and any rules your team uses for the add-on.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the link">
    Share the checkout link with the guest from Inbox or another supported channel.
  </Step>

## How to check it worked

* The property shows the latest house manual details.
* The reservation shows a guest portal link when one is available.
* Upsell links open the correct checkout page.
* Access notes appear only for the reservations or properties they belong to.

## Common problems

    The connected system may not have sent one. Check the reservation in the source system, then refresh the connected data if needed.

  <Accordion title="An upsell link will not work">
    Make sure your payment account is connected and the offer has a valid price.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Access details look wrong">
    Check the reservation dates, property, and connected lock account before sharing the details with a guest.
  </Accordion>
